Ali Will Be at Working and Showing her art at Art Lab Loveland From May 14-June 9
Info about the artist:
“Hey Mona Lisa, who was Leonardo? Was he Andy Warhol? were you Marilyn Monroe.. Hey Mozart, what kind of name is Amadeus? It´s kinda like Elvis you gotta die to be famous. I may not go down in history, I just want someone to remember me. I´ll probably never hold a brush that paints a masterpeice. Probably never find a pen that writes a symphony, But if I will love then I will find that I have touched another life And that´s something… Something worth leaving behind” – Lee Ann Womack

I was born in Omaha , NE on February 22, 1985 with a small chance of survival. I was born a month and a half premature, but I managed to pull through with the strength of living life. My purpose is to find beauty in life every day.

My name is Ali Almquist, I’m 25 years old. I moved to Loveland Colorado with my Mother, father and two brothers when I was 3 years old. I attended Sarah Milner elementary school, in second grade a painting I did of three ducks was choosen to hang in the state capital in Denver. I Also attended Walt Clark middle school: gifted and talented art program, and Thompson Valley High school . My freshmen year of high school I received second place out of 400 students in the state of Colorado for a Leaders are Readers art design. I attended invitational Art show at the governor’s mansion in Denver . Throughout high school I was not interested in the other classes that did not incorporate art, I took every art class Thompson Valley had to offer. I loved to paint and express myself through my art, as I still do today.

After graduating high school in May of 2003, with a paint brush in my hand it was my life passion to show others simple little things in life. I have recently discovered photography, another passion of mine. I love capturing moments in life, attempting to show others the amazing things that are around us every day. I put my heart into every piece of work I do. My inspiration comes from moments in my life that take my breath away, or songs that I hear on the radio.

I’ve always had an eye for beauty and find that the smallest things can have a big impact, just like me. I’m five foot tall, but don’t let my height fool you..my spirit is 10 foot tall and bullet proof, I will be the one who makes a lasting impression on those around me. Through art I can express and create anything I like to.  A dream of mine is to own an art gallery that would feature local artists, children’s art and myself. I would also like to attend a major art show in New York city … it could be a show for me.. you never know.
